Out in the streets

February 16, 2023 . Why aren't U.S. Jewish groups out in the streets opposing Israel's (newly fascist) Apartheid government? Huge crowds of Jews are protesting in Israel. Tens of thousands, a hundred thousand are coming out week after week. Yes, it's true that the protests in Israel have a deep flaw. They want to reverse Netanyahu-Ben-Gvir measures that would end democratic freedom for Jews. They want their rights, but don't understand that the Israeli courts have never stood up for Palestinians and have doomed them to living under a discrimination and brutality that amounts to apartheid.
We can support and EXPAND on the Israeli efforts, by staging our own demonstrations demanding democracy and equality for all who dwell between the River and the Sea.
One very symbolic, but effective way to take action is to join with those who are calling for the removal of Israeli flags from Jewish spaces, like synagogues and Jewish Federation headquarters. See the signed statement here.
Expend Efforts to Reach Bewildered U.S. Jews
We're in a new period. The inclusion of outright fascists in the Israeli government has shaken many Jews. Let's speak to them, particularly on college campuses.
